Penerapan Metode Edutainment dalam Pembelajaran Keterampilan Berbicara Arab di Madrasah Tsanawiyah

This study aims to describe the implementation of the edutainment method in learning Arabic speaking skills at MTs Ma’hadul Muta’allimin Ngawi, including the implementation methods, the obstacles encountered, and the solutions implemented to overcome them. This research uses a qualitative case study approach. The research location is MTs Ma’hadul Muta’allimin Ngawi, with the main data sources being Arabic language teachers and eighth-grade students. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. In contrast, data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results show that the edutainment method is implemented through various creative activities, including nasyid, language games, educational videos, interactive stories, and role-play. This method can increase students’ participation, enrich vocabulary, train pronunciation, and foster courage in speaking Arabic. The obstacles found include limited learning time, minimal media, differences in students’ abilities, and the passive attitude of some students. The solutions implemented include integrating edutainment into core materials, using simple media, differentiated learning, and strengthening learning motivation. The conclusion of this study shows that the edutainment method is effective in improving Arabic speaking skills when applied creatively, contextually, and sustainably.
