The development of digital technology has significantly transformed consumption patterns, particularly among adolescents. Easy internet access and the increasing use of e-commerce platforms have shifted shopping behaviour from conventional systems to digital-based transactions. This study aims to analyse the relationship between online shopping activities and consumptive behaviour among adolescents. This research employs a qualitative, descriptive method. The data were obtained from the scientific literature, including journals, books, and other relevant sources, as well as research on the frequency of e-commerce platform use and tendencies toward consumptive behaviour. The study focuses on online shopping behaviour among adolescents and students. Data collection was conducted through library research, including the review of various relevant references. The data analysis technique used qualitative analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that Shopee is the most frequently used e-commerce platform, with 42% of users, including factors such as discounts and discount efficiency. The study also found that consumption, by and through behaviours, influences decisions in the context of online shopping, and that online shopping activities are strongly increasing consumption. Therefore, improving financial literacy and responsible consumption awareness is necessary to ensure proper use of digital technology.
