About the Journal

Orbis Islamica: Journal of Islamic Studies is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Avicenna Institute. The journal focuses on Islamic studies across various disciplines, including theology, Islamic history, Islamic jurisprudence, Sufism, Qur’anic and Hadith studies, as well as contemporary issues in Muslim societies. Orbis Islamica provides a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to publish original research articles and critical studies that contribute to the development of Islamic scholarship and the understanding of Islamic intellectual traditions in a global context. The journal is published three times a year, in April, August, and December. All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo a rigorous peer-review process to ensure academic quality and scholarly integrity.
